First Otterbein Broadcasting Alumn Meeting

Hello Fellow Otterbein Broadcasting Alumni and friends. Welcome to the new blogspot for the group where you will find all information and updates for the group. I will keep updating information on Myspace (www.myspace.com/otterbeinbroadcastingalum), via e-mail and on Facebook (group coming soon).

Let's start with the goings on at our first meeting. Basically we talked about what we are going to do homecoming weekend in the fall. We came up with some good ideas, but we do need your help with any ideas you may have.

Here is what we are thinking:

Friday night October 17 we want to have a reception to honor WOBN's 60 years!

Saturday, after the football game, we have a cookout at the new Communications Building along with sort of an open house.

We are also thinking, that weekend during the fall marathon, allowing Alumni to be on the air on WOBN. I think we tried this while I was in school but I don't remember if it went over well or not.

Here's the deal..we have $500.00 to spend on this, so any money saving tips or ways to get donations will be much appreciated.

Our next meeting will be on June 24th (Tuesday) 6:30 p.m. in the new Communications Building (on Collegeview Avenue off State Street, just down the street from AmeriCheer on the right hand side). It will be in room C-111 the first classroom inside the front door on the Comm side. If you come in the front door, turn to your right, go through the “fire doors” and C-111 is the first room on your left.

Please note, if you just want to come to the event or want to help in some capacity and can't attend meetings please let me know!

Hope to see you all there: )

Sincerely,
Tricia Mays, '00

Yeah. We did try it when I was in school too, I graduated in 97. It was where a Wobner was paired with a past wobner. It was ok but not too much to talk about...akward. So doing it with someone you were perhaps in school with would be MUCH more fun! Maybe I could get my past co-host at WOBN to do it with me! Sounds good.
